
A large-scale Su embroidery work depicting the spring scenery of the Taihu Lake created by Yao Huifen is displayed at the National Convention Center during the “Heritage Blossoms, Women Shine” special exhibition celebrating the Global Leaders’ Meeting on Women (GLMW). Yao is a master of Chinese arts and crafts and a representative inheritor of the national intangible cultural heritage of Su embroidery. It took her nearly half a year to complete this Su embroidery work which features intricate stitches and the creative use of silk threads dyed in gradient colors.
